Australia post has lodged a notification with the australian competition and consumer commission proposing to increase the price of the basic postage stamp from $1.20 to $1.50 from january 2024. Stamp prices are also set to rise from april 3, to $1.50 from $1.20, having risen 10ยข last year after the competition watchdog waved the increase through. Concession and seasonal greeting stamps, which have not changed in price for ten years, will remain at their respective prices of 60 and 65 cents.
